Finding Your Seasonal Spring Scent

There is something joyful about the promise of Spring ahead, which makes us feel better, and brighter and to look forward to new arriving.

With the clocks going forward this weekend, symbolising the start of the new Spring Season it is a perfect time to renew and revitalise both our homes and our senses.

Spring is lovely reminder of how beautiful change can truly be, the air is fresher, with the sunshine warming in the room and the new buds blossoming we can finally smell it!

Like the ritual of Spring cleaning and the renewed energy that comes with it, complimenting your home with a fresh new seasonal Spring scent can revitalise and resonate on all levels with your mind and your senses.

Spring is a time for change, so when choosing a new Spring scent look for a fragrance that is both uplifting, refreshing and revitalising and with natural energy boosting ingredients to aid the new energy in this season.

There are some beautiful scents all around us at the moment particularly the new greenery and fragrant flowers. I have put together a few of my favourite Seasonal Spring scents which reflect the uplifting new season ahead:

This is perhaps one of the most popular essential oils around and is used most commonly in Aromatherapy oils. The lavender plant is basically a herb with its botanical name Lavandula latifolia which derived from the Latin livere meaning 'blueish'

It has the most calming effect and is awesome at reducing stress and anxiety it can also be used to help promote a restful sleep. Equally Lavender can be both uplifting and aid mood boasting something we use in our 'Fireside Lavender, Bergamot & Amber Candles and fragrance spray's, it is a fragrance which I find is asked for repeatedly as customers love the well-being and mindfulness tones in it.

Citrus - Grapefruit, Lemon, Mandarin, Lime and Tangerine

Anything with a Citrus scent is in this season is perfect as it has a freshness and crispness in it that reflects the re awakening of nature. One of my favourite citrus ingredients is the fresh and uplifting scent of grapefruit, not only does it smell amazing it boosts energy, helps you stay alert and focused and is high in antioxidants which prevents signs of ageing!

One of our most popular fragrances is the Sea Salt & Wood Candle and Botanical spray's, its beautiful scent is infused with hints of grapefruit and tangerine and is one of the most loveliest fresh and soft scents around. ( I know! But I am biased)

For the purposes of being impartial, we also have the as popular Lime Basil & Mandarin fragrance which is a quintessential Spring scent with it citrus, fresh uplifting scent

Fragrant Spring Flowers

Who hasn't been impressed with the new florals appearing in our florists, supermarkets and on social media screens recently. The magic and colour of new Spring fragrant flowers blooming a little bit day by day, makes us feel better, brighter and hopeful of new things to come as well as looking visually amazing in our our homes!

The new alluring scents of Spring flowers are a joy at this time of year, our senses are once again enlightened with the new buds and blossoms of Spring which tend to be crisper and fresher than the Summer header scents later on in the year.

Adding a floral tone to your new Spring fragrance is a perfect to have a bit of Spring with you at all times. If you mix it with a citrus base or a fruity tone the blend will be beautiful and I promise you will not be disappointed. Our new Spring botanical scented fragrance of Green Fig and Cassis is a beautiful blend of floral and citrus with hints of sweet flowers, fresh fruits and cedarwood and one which reflects the warmer months ahead.
